I have the Lonel 6-11333 Santa Fe Northern 3759 and it just started sparking on trailing truck. I checked the wheels, and the axel cups are in place and in good shape also the spring holding the draw bar was replaced it also is sparking back to the tender on the draw bar cutting off the sounds. I can reset the sounds but when I move the loco at all it sparks shutting off the sounds again. I'm at a loss of what to do does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks

Gary we would love to help you. Is the sparking at random locations, only on switches or curves, etc? The trailing truck and its wheels should be grounded, i.e., common with the outside rails. I'm not sure what dedicated circuits might go through the drawbar to control smoke, sound, etc., perhaps one of them is grounding out.
At the risk of further harming the loco, perhaps you could take a brief video of the phenomenon and post it to this thread.
Also, if your camera has the ability to take slow motion videos, that may be quite en "lightening"....sorry....couldn't refuse the pun!
Is the breaker on your power supply ever tripping when this happens ? If not. What are you using as far as powering the rails.
I’d at least remove the tender off the rails and take it out of the equation. Then try the engine on it’s own. It will run without the tender.
