Anyone planning on attending the 150th anniversary of the Golden Spike at the historic site May 10-12? The first round of car permits is sold out with the 2nd round available 1 April.

I was, until UP pushed back any mention of what EXACTLY is going to happen. As I need to plan work commitments, travel plans, etc, I cancelled the trip and will go to Poland in August to run (drive) and fire real, high speed mainline steam trains in active commuter service as part of the "Woltszyn Experience" https://www.youtube.com/watch?...&feature=related
I think the Polish steam sounds good. And more likely to happen!
