You have to be an MTH tech to order the MTH PS32 boards. Last time I checked, they weren't stocking the individual boards, just the set. I had some of the 5V interface top boards on order for almost a year, they never did come in.
I am mth tech!!! just need parts numbers to order
what is the part number for the set!
I'm surprised you didn't get the current common parts listing.
AE-1000035-5V PS3 Stacker Board & PS3/2 Board (w/ blk 5v PS2 connectors)
Substitute 3V for the one with the 3V white connectors.
parts list only goes up to AE-1000034 no 35!
I believe this may be in the Service Bulletins, you can read them (and download them) in the "Extra tech information" section on the MTH site.
AE-0000035 is a PS2/3 diesel stacker board.
You may be able to get the lower board separate, but I tried for a year to get the upper boards, no dice!
John Mth told me at the school you can only get the boards by buying the set together that's why I need the number Thanks
MTH shows both versions available.
Chuck, I tried to get the top interface board for a year, it was always unavailable. I gave up finally.
All this information is in your Manual received at training, no? Parts go in and out of stock. Boards can be ordered separately or as a set. But if they do not have the individual, they may not want to breakup set depending on inventory level. Frankly it is rare for a top board to go, but I have replaced the speed amp and a light fet on occasion. G
order: AE-1000035-5V PS3/2 board w\ 5 volt adapter board.
IC-0000026 Hardware mounting kit: and if 50mm speaker
BF-0000034 4 ohm speaker.
This is all you need to convert ps-2 5volt in diesel or steam with board in the tender. If the board is in the boiler then some very imaginative engineering to mount the board is in need. I have seen a steam loco with the new board held in with rubber silicone. Not sure I would have done this. If the board is in the boiler it may be better to use the PS-3 Steam upgrade and put the new board in the tender.
I am an ASC tech. and Authorized Service Center.
If a premier engine or RK with additional engine lights like firebox and IL, you will loose features going to an upgrade type install. Always best to put the board back where it started. G
AE-0000035 is a PS2/3 diesel stacker board
I agree with George that's why I wanted the above boards in the first place don't want to loose any lighting effects or features!
thanks GGG
Actually, the AE-0000035 is a universal board for either steam or diesel. It replaces the 5V or 3V PS/2 board set. It's also used in the PS/3 steam upgrade kit.
