Advice for a LEGACY newb? What advice do you have or can you point me to the best sources to learn how to set up and run a LEGACY system for the first time (books? online resources? OGR thread? youtube? etc).

This forum is a great asset for info on Legacy; do a search.
The Lionel web site has a whole series of instructional videos on thier products. Look under customer service.

I found that watching the Lionel videos and reading the manual was everything I needed to get started.

Then I came here to find all of the tips and troubleshooting I needed to make it work perfectly.
Miken has the answer. Read the manual. Did I mention that you should read the manual. Watch the videos. Oh yeah, read the manual, too.

Don't forget to not only read the manual, but read the instructions on the locomotive for Legacy command too...

Any other resources? A tech at a train store told me about a good youtube but I forget what it was. Thanks for all the input.
