Good morning fellow steamer lovers, and welcome to this edition of STEAMday Sunday. This is the place to post photos and videos you have taken (or those in which you obtained the written permission of the owner to post) steam locomotives of all kinds. Please also fully comply with the Forum Terms of Service.

I will start us off with a video of the MTH PS2 NY Central Commodore Vanderbilt Hudson hauling Pullman green Madison Heavyweight passenger cars:

Now let’s see the steamers you would like to share today. Arnold

Photos/videos show my Lionel Legacy model (2231120) of New York Central 2-8-0 Consolidation #960 on my 10’-by-5’ layout.

The prototype of Lionel’s model was a Southern Pacific Harriman Consolidation that burned oil and had a Vanderbilt tender, so it is not exactly representative of New York Central 2-8-0 #960. However, based on photographs of #960 on the website of the New York Central System Historical Society, the model looks very similar to the real New York Central #960 that was built by Alco (Brooks Works) in June 1909 with road number #7812 and scrapped with road number #1195 in 1954.

Hello, fellow Steam Crazies!  Arnold, thanks, as usual, for getting us steamed up!

Yesterday, on SwSat, we saw Central Railroad of New Jersey GP7 no. 1524 on a short commuter train.  No. 1524 has been assigned to freight service today, so it has been replaced today by one of CNJ’s famous 4-6-0 Camelbacks, no.763.  Let’s enjoy seeing steam while we can, because no. 1524 and her sisters will soon replace all steam on the CNJ.

Thanks Arnold for keeping the steam pressure up and ready to get us rolling today!

Lots of interestingly  wonderful pics and videos everyone!

My steam offering today is of a B&O 4-4-2 Atlantic and a N&W Y6b Mallet.   The Atlantic is an early Lionel TMCC model and the Y6b a MTH RailKing ... since the curves on my layout won't accommodate a full scale Y6b.
