Another successful train show on Saturday, March 17!
The day started for me running the model trains at the J. Reilly McCarren Museum before the 8:00 AM excursion train on the Arkansas and Missouri...
Then off to the Embassy Suites in Rogers, where the Razorback Traction Co. and "Big Red" were teamed up with "The Blue Beauty" pulling the Giraffe Express around Trolley Mountain, sculpted by Gene Austin...
Naturally, some gi-raffes were enjoying the scenery...
And Fortescue was supervising!
Some of the gi-raffes and Fortescue decided to explore the HO scale switching layout of the Ozarks Model Railroad Association....
Fortescue and the gi-raffes will be at the Springfield, MO train show next weekend as guests of the OMRA!
A lovely G scale layout was also in attendance...
As well as this impressive Lionel pike from Oklahoma!
They had been having equipment issues, so I loaned them my MTH K-4 and the Red Rocket as backups, just in case...
Z and N scale layouts were in attendance...
As well as very nice HO pikes!
And of course lots of goodies!
The kids were charmed by the trains as always...
And St Patty's Day attire was de rigeur! For my part, I had a green Muni PCC trolley running.
Malcom Cleavland's Z scale pike...
ArkLUG had a magnificent Lego railroad display!
Complete with working glue factory!
And magnificent buildings!
Naturally, Fortescue paid a visit...
A sweet time was had by all!
And we have the video to prove it!
