Dec. 8 video report on a fire in the building that houses the nice "Cooltrains" hobby/train shop near Lancaster, Pa. I just visited here on Dec. 5 & found it to be a wonderful place. This preliminary report lacks much detail, but hopefully the store area of this building, & the apartments above, were not severely damaged. LINK

Hopefully came away in good shape. In any fire items not burned may have smoke damage, though usually the water ruins everything.
Oh Man, I love this place. And Ted is a really great guy. I stop by whenever I am in the area and got a very nice handwritten thank you card from him a couple months ago. He is always very nice to me and my family.
Once he has a chance to get reorganized, I will buy from him again to support him. I am glad it sounds like no-one was seriously hurt.
Ted shared this note on Facebook on Dec. 9: "On Dec. 8, CoolTrains Hobbies suffered a devastating fire. Thankfully there were no injuries. First responders moved quickly & controlled the fire. At this time the shop is closed for business. Thank you to the friends & customers who have reached out to me. I hope to have more updates to share in the coming days."
