Alan. Are those two different types of structures?
The fictional Utacolzona Railroad out west with some of the rock formations in On30.
Thanks for looking.

Starting something new. It’s taken me a while to accumulate enough parts to be able to do this…. A brick factory baking operation.
These DD kits will be the basis:
All of the “8 window” walls are identical in size so these play nicely. The side and back walls from the apartment kits are slightly longer and shorter respectively, and mostly blank so they can be used as fillers and also can be (carefully) cut up and turned into bump outs and stuff. I also have a few other kits that I might steal some parts from or use outright in different configurations from their designated arrangements to make this work.
I expect this to be a slow roller, since given how long it took to accumulate this, I get one shot to get it right, and it’s pretty hard to unglue these things once they’re assembled (although I have done it and it’s not for the faint of heart). To that end, I’m viewing these walls as essentially priceless and leaving them in the box until I figure it out, rather than risk breaking one or more mocking it up. Instead, I stuck em in a copy machine and made terrible paper copies that are close enough to mock it up.
I’ll glue the papers to some foam or the like to make them rigid and then play around until I have the building and the track plan to service it figured out.

Looking forward to your project, Justin......I love kit-bashes!

Been awhile since I’ve done any scenery work. Waiting on the new layout. But her is one two little scenes.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there. Thank you and your wife Jeff.
Mark,
These are pictures of two different models. The firs one was sent to New England. The all silver colored model matched an oil terminal in California that my customers father had worked at.
Great showcase everyone. Thank you all for posting.

So you're the one that has been taking all of these kits. I've been looking all over the internet for one of those DD City View Apartments, lol. I will definitely be following your build.
Dave
Well, in my defense, I’ve had one of those city view kits for years. I just found the other one but there have been plenty that I’ve missed out on or was unwilling to overpay for.
there must be a few more out there, and the Atlantic hotel is the same kit with different signs, I think…
LOL, ok. I will keep looking. I missed one on the bay a few weeks back.
