Since this Tuesday is Halloween I thought I'd start off with a Canton Railroad SW1500 and it's crew member brakeman Dinky Dawson who came to work dressed as a scare crow! O'l Dinky loves himself some Halloween! You betcha! You should have seen the look on rookie engineer Scratchy Keaster's face when Dinky climbed aboard this morning! Absolutely priceless! Each year Dinky likes to dress up in costume and decorate the locomotive with jack-o-lanterns too. Today he brought some hay bales and some pumpkins which he will carve up whenever the crew gets a lull in the switching schedule. First o'l Dinky needs to remove the pumpkin from the rear coupler because this engine is about to back up and couple to a string of boxcars loaded with Halloween candy. They need to be moved to team track 3 for unloading. One thing for sure ... it just won't be just another day on the railroad!
