Is anyone familiar with disassembly of a #8 trolley? I just picked up a Williams repro #8 for our museum, but it needs to be taken apart in order to do some cosmetic repairs. I'm having trouble figuring out which tabs need to opened first. It's one of those deals where you can't get at A without removing B, but A is in the way of B. It looks to me like my best shot is to take a long tool and open the four tabs holding the roof in place, then spread the roof outward to remove it - but it seems like there ought to be an easier way. Most of the tabs holding the thing together are very hard to access.
Anybody know the official, right, or correct way to take this thing apart?
