I have a TAS SAW dsl in an ICG GP9 which worked well before not using it for a few years. When I ran it, the engine would stop dead and no longer respond to the throttle with the CAB2...but the sound would remain. When I hit R on the remote, the sound would reset to low revs and the engine would respond again. I made sure to bypass the two motors, etc. No help. I notice also that it turns off instantly instead of taking a second or so when I hit the shut down button (5).

What I think is happening is that the electronics is affected by a brief power intermittent caused by the rollers or track. I cleaned all of that and it almost works all the time except on rare occasion, but still shuts down abruptly when pressing shut down button. I wondered if there is some reason the TAS electronics is so sensitive to a power intermittent which is so brief that the lamps do not even blink on the engine. I did try replacing the R2LC board but no change.

I don't remember the engine shutting down so instantly...or being so touchy...making me think there is some issue.
