Dunkin Donut Shop. Everything runs better with Dunkin.

Lol at first I thought you said Drunkin Donuts because of a Brewery!

My first applied for job, I made the donuts. At 3am, the crowd often makes it Drunkin Donuts, take my word for it

Best donuts, but I hate the coffee.  Starbucks is a one cup affair; a caffine o.d.,

Timmy's is nice all day, any day

Starbucks has been done?......Bob Evens has good coffee.

A water tower that brews coffee?

They already made a Starbucks, so I have no idea!

When did they make a Starbucks?  As part of the office building/headquarters?

I’m hoping for a stand alone version.

It was only four months ago and was all discussed here in a loooong teaser thread and a followup thread by Cabinet Bob with numerous photos.

And it’s still currently available:

That’s not to say Menards couldn’t do another version. There was a smaller Red Owl following the big Red Owl, after all. But I kind of doubt it.

I’m leaning toward a coffee factory, maybe with a matching covered hopper. I still love billboard hoppers, reefers and boxcars.

I’m not really expecting it, but I would love it if Menards opted for another regional store chain from its home state: Kwik Trip. The La Crosse, Wis., based convenience store chain has an appealing design, because it’s really a mini grocery store more than the typical food-and-fuel places. Hot coffee is always on hand.

But I’m thinking Menards has something more coffee-centric in the works, unless Mark is again serving up a red herring to keep the guessers guessing until Clue No. 2.

There was a small Red Owl after the release of the Big Red Owl?  And I missed it?  Wow!   Do you have a link or pics for the smaller Red Owl?

I see, its the Watkins City Block that includes a Red Owl within the block.   Got it.

So, Menard's could do a new version of Watkins City Block but with a Starbucks instead of Red Owl.

I think you need to start attending AA meetings - you are starting to sound like a full blown alcoholic with your many repeated cries for a brewery.

Either SuperAmerica or Holiday* pioneered the modern version of the convenience store - both were based in Minnesota which is Menard's home territory and would seem to be a natural for them to do in model form.

*I know I have the facts/pictures in a book or two at home - am pretty sure it was one of these two. Holiday is now owned by a Canadian company.

Here's a 1976 view of an Erickson/Holiday C-store that was at 7916 Minnetonka Blvd. in St. Louis Park, MN:

I'd buy one of these in O! And how about the phone booth and 48 cents price of gas back then!

WOW 645, first off I want to thank you for bashing on me! Second I would like to point out that the BREWERY thing has been an on going joke here whenever Menards put out hints. But as far as my health and what I do is no concern of your! This is a place to learn, have fun, and talk with others into trains! Not to point out what you may think is a problem with a forum member!

You sir have a good day!
