The wife and I will be spending the day there.
Allen, it's been over 25 years since we have been to the "World Class TCA Museum", and so I asked my wife if she would like to go 1 last time as a member. She said Why bother? I thought about it and she was correct, it's the reason we are dropping out of the TCA, And have been members since 1977.

Okay...so your point is? Some leave and new ones come on board (check any issue of the Headquarters News). No big deal, and certainly not relevant to the topic of this thread.
Wow some guys just like to whiz on everybody's Corn Flakes.
Allen, you have made my point for me! Nothing being said about the events at the museums open house proves there is little interest!
Well, I haven't been able to make it to the Wednesday event in several years or so, but every time I have attended the place was pretty much packed. It's a fine museum and a fine event. If you haven't been there in 25 years, you really don't know what it's like today. Inform the Mrs. that you're going to be stopping by.
I think the members of this forum represents such a small number in the O gauge world that it is no true indication of the hobby. As Allan said, I believe there will be a good turnout. I'll let you know afterwards. I have not been there in a long time and this York affords me the time to go.
This will be my first time and bringing the wife along for the week and it all starts in Strasburg!
I think you folks will really like the museum. It's a fine tribute to the toy train heritage that in many ways is the foundation of the hobby. Truth is, Strasburg itself is about as fine a location as one can possibly find when it comes to railroad stuff. Choo-Choo Barn, Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, Strasburg Railroad, TCA Museum, etc. Hard to beat!
CCN Al, I'll be there in the afternoon..will look for you.
Everyone else,
A schedule is posted at the museum website. I've been there a few preYork Wednesdays and always enjoy the displays and info presented...always a crowd!
Ed (already in lancaster)
I think you're probably right, Frank!
Those who have a chance to visit should definitely do so, and today--Wednesday--would be the ideal opportunity for TCA members.
The attendance at the Museum was right about where's it's been for the past couple of years. Attendance is not anywhere near the "throngs" of ten years ago...but "lots" of Members still show for the afternoon presentations.
