Right now my TCA membership and York admission is free. I took advantage of the TCA Nationwide Insurance discount and it saved me $100 a year on my car insurance. Despite the discount, going to York and hanging out with friends would still be worth while. Our local TCA does a lot of cool things as well.
Yes re-up. Can not make York but still find the organization interesting and like to support it. I even support the TCA through my Amazon Prime Membership through the smile program even though its only a few bucks and I might donate items or money at a later date. TCA is a non profit and they do provide a good service and value IMO.

While via different methods, I agree. I've been a regular member (National and local division) and attendee over the years at both York and local meets, but was guilty of not really getting involved with helping do things.
Due to various job changes and also somewhat unpredictable time commitments, I still find it difficult to be able to commit to volunteering in a predictable manner, but all the complaining about the dues increase prompted me to decide to make an additional monetary donation each year when I submit my dues. Hopefully the 1-2 memberships worth of additional funds I've sent in the last several years has helped the organization, and I intend to continue to do so each year.
