The Louisiana Chapter of TCA Train show is at the 1st Baptist Church GYM at 325 Pine St. from 9am to 3pm Saturday 11-7-2015.  Cost $5.

The train show is part of The Ponchatoula Trade Days and Crafts Fair about 1 block away.  Ponchatoula is near Hammond, LA 30 miles east of Baton Rouge via I-12.

The more the merrier, great for kids and open to the public .

Let's hope someone else from the Forum can attend as well to keep Charlie company!

I too used to live in the area - our shop 'Uncle Sam's Hobby Shop' was in Covington, about 20 miles to the east just north of I-12

Charlie,  are there any other train shows during the year now?  We used to have the LCCA, TCA, and an occasional Greenberg show.

Do you know George Kosanovich from Covington?  He was our 'authorized' Lionel Service Station repairman (who got me back into trains in 1989) and has kept the station alive all these years as 'Uncle Sam's Trains'. Please tell him hello from me!

They have this same show in Ponchatoula in the spring also.  We have not had a Greenberg show in a long time.  I do not know of any others in the area including LCCA.

I like the TCA shows as it is all members and individuals selling verses lots of dealers at the national shows.  In days of the beginning of my interest and cheaper gas I used to go to Houston, San A. and Mobile and others but not lately.  I have much too much stuff to run and add to my medium layout!  But I like to go look and maybe find something better or new to me that will work out.
