It's time for another weekly Team Track excursion. From operators of highly detailed layouts to those with a simple loop of tinplate, this weekly thread is for everyone!

What is a Team Track?

Team tracks (aka: public delivery tracks and transload facilities) have long been an important part of railroad operations. They can be found in rural countrysides, small towns, and large cities. These non-dedicated sidings make it possible for any small businesses to access to the nation's rail network. Virtually any type of freight car can be on/off loaded here. You might even find some MOW or passenger train equipment at a team track.

Don't have a Team Track? No worries, any track will do. Join the fun, share what's being loaded, unloaded, parked, or exhibited on your railroad!

Yeah!  It's TTT!  In keeping with the theme of holiday season, Team Track One in Lower Patsburg:  A light snow has just fallen and the local way freight has set out a REA boxcar load of Christmas trees now being unloaded.  The trees will be taken to the Patsburg Boys & Girls Club tree lot locations in the and around the city of Patsburg.  Christmas trees are a big source of funding revenue for the Boys & Girls Club and the kids just love being at the lots sharing their joy of the holiday season and selling trees!  Another car load of trees is due in next Tuesday.... stay tuned!

When I was a  kid in my own hometown, the B&O Railroad would set out a car load of Christmas trees on the town's team track each November.  The trees were sold by the local Boys Club.  OGR published the first photo back in 2017.  This real life annual event inspired my team track scenes here.  Enjoy your holiday season everyone.... may it be safe, healthy, warm & cozy!    Of course may it also include lots of time running trains!  IMG_4150IMG_4159IMG_4161
