What's being loaded, unloaded, stored, or exhibited on your railroad?

Team tracks have long been an important part of railroad operations. They can be found in rural countrysides, small towns, and large cities. These non-dedicated sidings make it possible for any local businesses to access to the nation's rail network. Virtually any type of freight car can be on/off loaded here.

From operators of highly detailed layouts to those with a simple loop of tinplate, this weekly thread is for everyone. We are not picky here at the Team Track - Any siding will do. Join the fun. Share some pictures of freight being loaded or unloaded along your railroad empire (pictures of real trains are welcome, too).

My computer is resting comfortably at the repair shop, so I'm going back to an old team track for this week's post.

It was a busy week at the Everett Team Track & Community Park. The railway left an interesting boxcar over on track 2. It was loaded with priceless artwork. The rare pieces were destined for the private collection of Valley Power’s CEO, Charlie Jones Jr. Given Charlie’s reputation for being a ruthless hot head, the hired hands were doing their best to avoid any damage to the artwork. Everything was carefully inspected and loaded onto a truck for delivery to Charlie’s estate up in Packsaddle Narrows.

Everett police weren't taking any chances with all those hobos milling about.

There were a few accidents, but nothing a bit of scotch tape couldn't fix.

Inspection of the goddess Flora sculpture garnered quite a crowd.

It's Tuesday and time for Team Track!  Abbrail - your team track load today wins the award for "Most  Unique Team Track Load"!   Also .... Thanks for getting us started each Tuesday!

Lee - nice looking UP Fruehuaf ( sp? ) trailers and tractor.  Is that a Mack tractor or a White?

Today on Team Track Two in Lower Patsburg, it's all about potatoes.  A Bangor and Aroostock State of Maine boxcar load of spuds has arrived and the crew is busy unloading the sacks and barrels of tasty Maine potatoes. IMG_8538IMG_8535IMG_8536

Patrick. Nice pics of the old Lionel milk platform. It’s a old White w22 made by Speccast

Now that’s something different and humorous. Great job.

Lots of interesting loads arriving at the team tracks these days.

Lee, I guess team track transloading may have lead to the side door on trailers.

Patrick, that stake truck has been so busy in Patsburg the owner hasn't had any time to wash it.  Nice weathering job.

You can count on the crew at the Everett team track to always have something interest, strange or bizarre to transload.

Thanks Lee!  Really appreciate the background on the milk platform.  I had no idea that Speccast made the platform.   That is the platform that came with my first Lionel trainset back in 1957.   My layout includes a few items from that year when my 2065 pulled a 5 car freight, operating milk car, operating log dump car, operating boxcar, and Sunoco 3 dome tanker, plus caboose around the family Christmas tree.  I still have the entire set fully intact and operational.
