Testing A TMCC unit | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I am a 2 rail O scaler and do not know anything about TMCC. I have an Atlas 3 rail F3B unit I am parting out. It has its own TMCC system on board I am going to sell but I would like to make sure it works before I list it. I know you can run a DCC decoder on DC. If I put 16v of ac to the wheels, will the unit run? Or is my only alternative to find someone with a TMCC layout?

Applying 16 volts AC to the roller and ground it should run as any conventional engine runs. It still would be best to check on a Tmcc layout for all functions.

Thanks. I had a similer situation with a MTH set of electronics. There was some sort of way of pressing the direction button or horn button in quick succession to get the engine to do different things. Thought same might be true for TMCC. Again, thanks.

No, you need the cab 1 or 2 base and remote, any 3 railers in the area?
