This year’s spring meet was my 5 yr old grandson, Chase’s second visit to the TCA York meet. He enjoyed every minute of his day.

He had a day planned out.

1)      Go to Nicholas Smith Trains, purchase Diesel from Thomas and Friends

2)      Stop by the WB&A Children’s Corner

3)      See Coaster Dynamics - again, and again, and again

We did everything on his plan, and more.

I’d like to thank all of you who made his day a happy event. Train folks, for the most part are a great group !

Special thanks to:

* Vince, & Trainpop who gave us a base of operations at Vince’s trains

* Chris Ganz, Nicholas Smith Trains, who made Chase’s special purchase even better, taking time to talk about the locomotive, and  topping off his sale with a chocolate chip cookie.

* Jim Barrett, OGR. We watched the video last night, and  he has new favorite locomotive! And yes, he's been through the magazine twice! It even went to school with him today.

* Lionel Trains staff, who let him run the new remote Polar Express, and never rushed him to move on.

Folks who took time to talk to a little guy: Mike Wolf@MTH, RPO Trains, Dunham Studios, Coaster Dynamics-he loves your roller coasters, but Lionel had a remote, and took top visited number away from you this year, 4 to 3, and Centerline.

WB&A, great job as before. The ladies, and gentlemen there do a great job with providing a rest area for us older folks and a great play area for the kids. Chase loves his drawing give a way, too.

BEAR OWEN who shared a secret, and yes, Bear, he's keeping it to himself!

I’m probably missing someone, but if so, it wasn’t purposely done.

Thank you all for helping making a special day even better for a little guy who loves trains!

I have a feeling that Chase is going to be a regular at York as long as grand dad attends.

Chase is definitely into trains big time!

This little fella lives to play with his trains! The Thomas collection is pretty much complete so and I'm sure that he will soon start adding big boy trains to his

collection too.

Jim and Chase have a very special relationship that will help shape Chase's early childhood memories for years to come.

Thanks, Guys.

Steve, he even helped me price for an hour or so at the booth before the show opened and we wandering on his planned day. I know he loves our layouts,  but it was amazing how interested he was in all the locomotives on display, yet made no attempt to touch anything!

two year member of TCA, and two Yorks under his belt. He's already planning next year's trip, and trying to decide which locomotive he wants!
