The latest Friends of the 261 newsletter mentioned this new video of the October 2013 261 fan trip. The camera work and picture quality is very impressive.Check out the aerial view of the train running over a long bridge 5:40 into the video.I can't wait to ride a 261 fan trip in 2014,especially after watching this video.

Great video, I was on the trip on the old GN heading west the day before this one to Boylston...though a little of the trip I was on shows up near the end, so they must have been filming both days.

This was done for WCCO-TV in Minneapolis/St.Paul. "Life to the Max" it's hosted by WCCO sports guy Mike Max, interesting to see Ralph Jon Fritz hosting this one. He's been retired for a while, but most every local evening news programs he and others did at WCCO did back in the sixties and seventies. FWIW Fritz for years was the sports anchor on the evening news with Dave Moore as the news anchor. Moore's "Bedtime News" from the sixties is what Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" is based on.

I just noticed one of the remote camera copters can be seen 6:52 into the video. This is the first video I have seen using this new technology.I like the camera views from the remote copters, but I slightly worry about one crashing into the train or a person.I wonder if the sound from the copters is annoyingly loud to anyone nearby it.
