Very impressive video !
Thank you Hibar!
It's a promo. I will be producing a few.
Great video. You may have shown the TWO most beautiful trains in the world-the loco and the most popular train ever created (my all-time favorite since I was 5 years old) the Santa Fe Warbonnet F-3. I only have four of those...

I agree Jerry, the Warbonnet why it's the stuff of pure legend!
well that brought a smile to my face

Not an F3 pictured, but an E unit.

Music, video, layout, a fantastic train: all in one!
Joyeux Noël!

Erik,
Once more, marvelous
Ron.
Beautifully done, Erik!
Just to play devils advocate, I find the Hiawatha's equally beautiful, especially the style in their car sets and most definitely the design of their observation cars.
Still, it's hard to argue about beauty after viewing your spectacular presentation. Beautifully done, indeed.
Merry Christmas

Bruce, where would you rather be this time of year, in Milwaukee or the Southern California coast?
Excellent video Erik! I am a N&W guy but the Daylight is a magnificent train. The SP and Lima really hit a homer and at the right time in train travel...simply stunning. Thanks for images/video.

LOL. These old bones know exactly what winter is like living beside a Great Lake. I don't think this pasty white complexion could handle a better climate. But, like one of our great countrymen says at every meeting.."I'm a Man.... I can change... If I have to.... I guess "

I know some (Eric) folks think the Daylight in a nice train set but I light the California Zephyr.

Very impressive video. Which SP Daylight train is that, as there is no train number appearing in the locomotive's Train Number Indicators, per SP practice? The "Coast Daylight" would have been either #99 or #98, depending on direction (to San Francisco or away from San Francisco, respectivly).
Really nice Erik. I always enjoy your photography...
Thanks for sharing the fabulous video with us Eric. Beautiful prototype, fantastic models, and artistic videography - it sets an new standard.

All I can say is wow. Always liked the daylights even over the Warbonnets. Have a nice Christmas.
Now that is truly beautiful, however the most beautiful have to be big ugly a might uncivilized to be truly beautiful enough to pull US Army Green. Only one Engine falls into that category! It Has Pantographs !

Most appreciate the comment. Hiawatha is one of my favorites also
Thoroughly enjoyed the video, Erik. Very inspiring. Thanks.
Your welcome Bill!
Great video. It's this sort artistry that shows the elegance and beauty of physics and engineering moving through natural settings that I love about trains. My imagination runs away with numerous other great trains and settings.
Please continue your excellent work and thank you for sharing.
Erik, very enjoyable; who manufactured the Daylight engine?
Erik,
I'm still marveling over a dining car model and photos that you did while back. It was and remains truly inspiring but your video just blows me away. And all comminicated in a short but highly effective timeframe. I loved the camera flyover, the speeding comets in the title shot, and your sense of humor in the credits.
Keep 'em (camera and trains) rolling.

Update: Just caught the second video. The addition of the rails sound, graphics in the beginning, and black and white shots were nice touches. The only "nit" that revealed I was watching a scale model was in a couple of shots the overhead lights were reflected in the windows. Still in awe and your work literally transports me in the way poetry is supposed to (but never does :-) TRRR
