Do you like the Orient Express? I do. My favorite novel is "Murder on the Orient Express" by Agatha Christie. I was fortunate enough to get this set of MTH Orient Express passenger cars for Christmas in 2017. I love them. Here is a short video featuring the cars (sorry I don't have any European locomotives so my Lionel Lionscale UP Challenger is the motive force). If you are interested check it out.

Nice! This set is on my wishlist.
Thanks Balidas. I'm a big passenger train guy, or at least I'm developing into one. I find it's easier to fit the car sets into the budget than the appropriate locomotives to go with them. If you are interested visit my youtube channel to see the videos for some of the other sets I have. Other than the locos that go with the sets my passenger set wishlist currently has an Illinois Central streamlined set (Panama Limited or City of New Orleans) and a Milwaukee Road streamlined Hiawatha set. I really love the the observation car on the Hiawatha set.
I have the MTH American Orient Express cars, they are a bit hard to find also the engine so what I have pulling is Lionel's all RED Indiana diesel---I like color---eventually I'l find something bluish!
That’s cool. I didn’t know they had an American Orient Express set. Looks like another set just got added to my wish list!
Curious of MTH Princess class of Pacifics would have pulled the train through Great Britain?
I won’t say it’s impossible. I could certainly be wrong but all the research I found didn’t mention any British engines. The western terminus was Paris so I’d say it’s likely it was mostly French, German and maybe Russian locomotives that would have taken turns along the route to Turkey. That is a very nice looking locomotive though.
In general trains from continental Europe could not run in England, since the profile of European trains is too large. There were only a small number of special build smaller (CIWL blue) sleeping cars that went via a ferry from France to England in the Night Ferry train from Paris to London and back; and when in Paris you could take the Orient Express. Since this train did not go further than London the Princess class Pacific did not pull this train. Locomotives of the Southern Railway or Southern region, like the Bulleid Pacifics did pull this train. There are some interesting books about this train:

If you haven't yet, check out the movie directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh and also starring Jonny Depp, Michelle Pfeifer, Daisey Ridley, Penelope Cruz, William Defoe et al from 2017. The bonus material includes a short about the set of the interior. It is quite stunning. I'd love to sit at that bar on an overnight trip.
Thanks SNCF231E. I’ll check those out.
PENNSY484. I saw the movie. I liked it in general but they took some pretty big liberties. Poirot was not the least bit athletic.
Wow!! I was amazed at the detail on the cars and how the lighting was situated; my PE cars and Milwaukee cars pale compared to these; priceless.
