I am in the process of kit bashing two Korber models and need to illuminate the interior. These will make a 2-3" flat or false front.

I will probably need about a dozen lights. What kind,  size bulbs, voltage , etc, do I use? Do I need a resistor(s) and where do I get them.

What kind of power source do I use?

Keep in mind that "easy" is always a virtue in my world.

Thank you in advance for the primer on light!

First off you can use incandescent grain of wheat or LED strips since both will work on 12VDC. Also a lot of manufacturers build wall mount LEDs that come ballasted so ready to plug in.

Best source for grain of wheat is Miniatronics. For LED strips search Ebay. There are a few Hong Kong outfits that sell reels for very low prices. I have used WE HONEST in the past.

If the interior lights will not be seen you can simply use the incandescent or LED as is. If the interior lights will be seen then see the hanging lights in the attached file below. These are simply to make using Plastruct product.
