Beings tomorrow is the start of York week, let's go over a few things thay everybody should do.

Take a bath everyday, use deodorant everyday. It's going to be hot the three days so taking a bath and using deodorant is very important.

Tip the guys and gals manning the bathrooms, they deserve it. Don't be cheap.

Try not to kill yourself trying to get one those New "York"  cars from Lionel.

May I insist for a second time that bathing will be necessary this week. If instructions are needed please email Brutus who is ready to answer all bathing questions, please put his big hairy hands to work, he is waiting for your call.

Do you really think that people with poor hygiene will:

-read this thread?

-actually change their ways for a few days?

People with poor hygiene typically have been that way their whole lives. Also, they cannot smell themselves, just like a smoker cannot smell tobacco, because it is part of them, part of their baseline. I applaud what you are saying, but hope you are not setting your expectations too high.

It's planting season. When you go out to the Museum, NOTHING will overcome the smell of the fertilizer.

This is why I only attend York in the Fall.   I'm not a fan of that smell.   My wife and I took many spring vacations to Lancaster County in the 1990's with a car that didn't have AC.   There was no escaping the smell.

I beg to differ, and underscoring Craig's advice...

Whether it is at the museum or at the TCA Meet in York, there is a gaggle of curmudgeons that are only too happy to poot their ways down the aisles, considering themselves terribly clever and covert, leaving clouds behind them that can outdo any pasture, believe me. And those clouds are far more intense and long-lasting in their assault on your senses, including vision and balance and hearing, let alone smell, than any mere absence of bathing or freshly opened pastures can commit. Livestock  would avoid the aisles in the wake of these relatively quick-moving transient cloud-seeders.
