You may just be the sharpest tool in the shed. I have cases of cars, and am still laying track. At the end of the day, you're the one running trains!
Shooting pool around that layout should be a bunch of fun! I'd hope no one has hit any trains (yet).

Actually, I only run ONE train, cuz that's all I have!
When we shoot pool, I park CALICO behind a Mountain on the other side of the game room.

I think you're holdin' out on us. In the third photo, there's a second train, on the left, on a shelf. Aha!

HEY RICHIE,
The train on the shelf is from the 150-foot LGB layout that I had running from the Game Room, through a portal, to the 3rd car space of our attached 3-1/2 car garage, about 12 years ago.
It too, was a continuous folded dogbone design (my favorite), using 8-foot return loops in both the game room and the garage.
Magnets were placed between the ties at various locations to operate a reed switch in the tender to trigger the whistle or bell.
