Steve,
Thanks for sharing. I have heard of but never seen any of these. Catalog pictures are great to see.

Thanks Joe. They do not show up often. There are no markings on them to ID the maker so my guess is they get listed wrong. I have one boxed Shawnee passenger set and a number of loose cars. Need to post photo's. Some of the passenger are very colorful.

Thanks Steve, I always like your videos, this little beauty is much more nice than the Lionel one I think.

Thank you for the great information. Until now, the only catalog I had seen with Thomas trains was an old Model Railroad Equipment Corp. pocket catalog with some Thomas trains shown. The brand wasn't specified.
Thanks for the PDF Steve. Like the others I've often wondered at the extent of the Thomas line - now I have a reference.
Let me add my thanks as well. I have only seen Thomas Industries trains in photos and videos. I like their looks. I have downloaded the catalog as well. I like adding references to the collection

In the spirit of adding to the collection of Thomas Industries information below are pictures of some of the cataloged items:
Branch Line Engine
Switcher 0-4-0
Express Mail
Pioneer Coach
Crane Car
Steve, thank you for uploading that catalog. I've had a few items over the years. Mostly tank cars for some reason. I have the 0-4-0 slope tender now..
Anybody on the forum know who might do repair work on Thomas engines? I have two of the Branch Line 4-4-0's, they need some minor repair (mostly assembly adjustment, cleaning and lubrication. Let me know if you know where I could get it done. Unfortunately I'm without shop or tools at the moment, so I need help.

Hello all ...thank you for up loading the Thomas catalog ....it is actually the last or close to the last Thomas catalog dating to 1962 ...Plano was the address as of 62.
Thomas was James Thomas ..of NJ ...1/2 of Mantua .... 1947 James left John Tyler with Mantua (HO) and forged on his own with O scale ( hindsight: maybe not the best financial move ?) ...always flirting with tinplate to survive and pick up those high rail guys business .
1947 the little 040...with a sand cast cab ...( cab so large it looks as if the little switcher could do a wheelie at any time.
1948 the introduction of the Consolidated... sporting a die-cast cab.....the 040 now would get a die cast cab .. Thomas picked up some of the Scale Craft car line ... about 1951 the Civil War much more "tin platey" look ..and a few freights..the Civil War engines would surface 1953 Thomas Industries had moved to Shawnee OK by now .. 1960 Thomas moves to Dallas TX ... and suffers a fire ... 1962 move to Plano .
Thomas offered some fun reasonable priced pieces .... always trying to walk both sides of the fence scale ---and tinplate ...
Cheers Carey
