While working on one of my turnouts the wire connector for a DZ 1000 machine made its escape never to be found again. I don't see this terribly small wire piece listed on the Z stuff site or the Ross site. Where does one obtain a replacement part?

The wires are different depending on the switch/turnout manufacturer. Whose turnout do you have?
He has a Z Stuff DZ1000.
Ok. My bad. I knew it was a DZ1000. I mixed up reason for differences.
DZ1000 takes a spring with a square top. The DZ 2500 spring has a curved top.
Do a google search for dz1000 throw spring. Thats how i found them.
Call the Ross Custom Switches, and they have these springs your looking for. They are nice folks and probably won’t charge you for the springs. You need the one with the rectangular top. They are an OGR Forum Sponsor, great folks, selling some of the best track available today. Good luck. Please ask for Steve, he’ll help you. It’s good to have extra springs as over the years they need replacing. I’ve used Ross turnouts because they work fine. Happy Railroading Everyone

Thanks for the replies and thank you Rod for your kind offer. Searching the junk drawer in the kitchen provided me with several small paperclips. I got the geometry and spacing right on the second try.
