TIU issue

i would suggest you do a track signal test if you have a working engine. if not see if you have track voltage and also make sure you have dcs turned on and also see if tiu is blinking 1 time on power up a red led inside should flash 1 time on power if your set for tiu 1 on your layout ! are you running dcs conventional or ps 1 engine what is you engine item number 20 - 30 - etc !

Alan, the train I was running is a Southern Crescent PS3 engine. The track has power as I placed a passenger car on the track and the lights go on as the power is turned on.

My controller says Reset TIU. Exactly how do I do that? Or do I need to reinstall the engine again?

you reset tiu from your dcs remote system/tiu/reset tiu and press thumb wheel if you have dcs companion book it tells you everything you need to know about dcs !

First thing to do is to simply try adding the locomotive again.  I've had glitches cause the locomotive to forget it's ID, and just adding it pops it up with a new engine number and all is well.

That's what I plan to do today, John. I'll let you know if this cures the problem.
