Hello, this is my first time using DCS and I’m trying to hook it all up and I’m not getting any power out using variable terminal 1. I am currently using an older, repaired g god, TIU I got for a good price, it was supposed to have been tested and worked properly, and is being used in conjunction with a WIU.  The TIU iS connected to one of the inner terminals of a postwar ZW-275. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer

There are a couple of options for the channel you have hooked up. First, you can set Variable #1 to FIXED. With that, you should be seeing voltage out of that channel that matches the output voltage from your transformer.

You normally use the Variable Output for controlling Conventional engines. If you select TR1, the thumbwheel on your remote will allow you to set the output voltage. Set your transformer to ~18 VAC.  Note, the voltage displayed on your handheld remote probably won't match your transformer output voltage exactly.

you purchased a rev G and it does not have any internal fuses ,so if you get a short you can burn up the tiu  ,they cannot be repaired and if is develops an internal short as the trace may burn up that's why most people don't use them or buy them anymore! if your going to use it I recommend you put fuses in the line from the transformer 10 amp on each of the inputs fixed 1 fixed 2 variable 1 variable 2. best of luck with your purchase!
