TMCC base computer cable flaw? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I am trying to connect the DB9 computer cable end to the TMCC base. The pins line up and the plug slides on easly, but the screws on the sides of the plug that are used to tighten the plug to the base are to short! The screws do not make contact to the holes in the base. Yes, the plug is pushed on it's receptacle has far as it will go. The cable is the recommended 6-14191.

Any suggestions? Help...

It doesn't need to be screwed down. It will work just plugged in. If you want the screws to bind it down go to a computer store that does repairs. They will have the extender screws needed to bind it up.

They're standard 4-40 screws, just use some longer ones.
