TMCC Command Base - repairable? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

My TMCC command base stopped working. I finally found a brand new one, hooked it up and everything is happy again in TMCC land.

The old unit powers on, lights up, reacts to the controller but doesn't seem to generate an output signal.

Are these things serviceable? Can they be fixed/ rec-conditioned?
