Our club will be installing Lionel Legacy on out layout. If I bring my TMCC hand held unit form home will I be able to use it on my TMCC engines?

No you won't be able to use your cab 1 with legacy base. It won't talk to the legacy base . You still have to use the old tmcc base.
If the club was smart, they would install the TMCC base along with the Legacy base per the instructions in the Legacy manual using the serial Y cord that comes with Legacy. Just make sure that the "One wire connection" only goes to the Legacy base.
Yes the wire only goes to the legacy base.
