I have a "Traxion" foldable Topside Creeper model 3-100.  It is very handy reaching the other side of the layout, I am lucky that I have room to move it from area to area(with a little effort). As mentioned above "THEY ARE BIG" and take a lot of room.

Having said all that, it is a good investment for me. I just work around it.

Just ordered the Micro Mark Topside Creeper with freight the total cam to $217.95 they are having 20% off total order today only. The Micro Mark one will fold up and roll under the table and may be easier to move around the layout. I had a friend's that did not fold up and it was a nightmare to move around. Had to take it apart just to get it out of the train room. just my thoughts.

Don't know.

I looked at the web site  www.traxionproducts.com . I did not see Micro Mark mentioned.

Mine will not fold up for under the table storage, at least I don't know how and the instruction do not mention it.

This was/is a good purchase. It takes a lot of space but you can reach a good distance.  I agree it looks exactly the same, I think it is, the instructions are(almost) exactly the same except "Traxion" is not in the paperwork

FWIW department....

The topside creeper is a staple shop investment for folks who service trucks and other high-wheeled vehicles.  There are a couple local, large automotive shops that sell these.  They even show up on Craig's List from time-to-time.  If you search "Topside Creeper Images", you'll see how they're more typically used in this arena.

Ergo, MicroMark, while catering to our hobby exceptionally well, is not the only game in town for this device. Poke around the auto/truck service tools purveyors....they might have some choices....and a unit or two you can try for working/storage comfort.

I considered getting one of these myself.  However, my basement (layout location) ceiling is only about 7'-6" in height.  As soon as I stood on the first rung and tried leaning into the chest rest I realized I would be too close to the ceiling tiles and pot lights to be comfortable.  I nixed the idea.

Again, FWIW, always....

I've been on one, gingerly. They seem well-made (I don't own it - Forum member

Drew Madere does), but it's a little spooky as you slowly begin to hang more and more

into space....solid as a rock (and I'm not a small guy), but it just feels so wrong...

I'd get one if I had the room to store it in the shop.
