I just hooked up my TPC300 to one side of my MTH Z4000. I can not now operate this side in conventional mode, using the control lever of the Z4000. Is there a bypass on the TPC300 or is the only option to running in conventional mode through my Cab-1? I have not found this topic address in the setup literature.

You can easily bypass a TPC (or a Powermaster) with a single pole, single throw switch. For the TPC, attach the switch to the Power In Hot and Track A terminals.
Dale,
Just to make sure I understand; your saying to run a jumper wire from the hot power in terminal of the TCP over to the hot "A track out terminal" with the switch inserted in the jumper wire?
I'm assuming that the jumper wire switch is "OFF" when the Cab-1 power is in operation mode. When the Cab-1 power (mode) is shut down, then the jumper wire switch if "flipped" ON allowing power to bypass the TPC...allowing conventional operation.
Sorry, I'm kind of slow to absorb this sort of info...but...thanks to you pro's I'm getting there.
You are correct.
Dale, am I understanding correctly, you're just adding a jumper from the hot input power to the hot output power?
Yes, and that "bridges across" the Triac (or power FETs in a Powermaster), keeping all of the variable transformer power going to the track. The electronics in the TPC still gets power, but it doesn't have any control over the output.
Good to know, I wouldn't have thought it so simple.
