Yesterday I was at a club open house, and one of the members were cleaning the HO layout track with one of these. Has anyone tried them on O gauge track? Particularly tinplate track? Thanks!
I have not used any of several commercial ones that are like that. But they did give me the idea to mount a brightboy cleaning "eraser" on the end of a yardstick, which I use a lot.

I have one of those and just love it! I can reach into each roundhouse stall, reach under the coal dock, and reach the complete turntable trackage. Best darned investment I've made in the last two years.
I made a track cleaning tool from a Swifter Duster, modifying it to fit track with double sided carpet tape holding either scotchbrite pad or piece of terry cloth. The swifter handle swivels left-right and up and down. Great for tunnels.
