As I get more and more intrigued with modern SG reproductions with the traditional motors... Is there a period of inferior or superior quality when comaring Lionel Classics, MTH Tinplate Traditions, and Lionel Corp Tinplate?
I believe all of the motors used in the Lionel classics, MTH and modern tinplate are all made by MTH. The traditional motors are good quality. For long term running like at a museum, I like either the old Williams dual can motors or the MTH proto motors without the electronics (with a bridge rectifier).
