Hello Guys.

I am trying something new for my local Church and Knights of COlumbus.  I am helping them do a Train show as a fundraiser.

It will be DEC 6 that is a Saturday.  IT is from 9-3.

This is a new concept for them.  We have room for about 50 tables! Not too bad.  I have about 17 tables sold to date.

Let your friends know that if they have extra stuff to sell, they can contact me for a table (Only $20) admission is only $4.

I am going to have some trains running (thomas G-Gauge) and I am going to raffle off an O gauge MTH christmas set with Proto-3.

Train Racing as well!!

Tell you friends in the Washington DC beltway to help support the Train Hobby, even though I will have dealers, the displays are there to get the next generation interested in the hobby!!

I have advertised in the 2 O Gauge Magazines already!

Thanks.

Whoa!!  A REAL train show in the Maryland suburbs of DC?  Must be years since that has happened.  This is great.

I would like 2 tables.  Are they 6' or 8' tables?

The good news is that given where you are located, one could easily go to this show on Saturday, and still go to the Greenberg Show in Timonium for the remainder of Saturday and/or for all of Sunday.

Nice to have 2 shows to look forward to that weekend.

Is this going to be a regular event?

Thanks.

Actually John, the Gaithersburg show happens every November but is rather dull and just a small spin off of the big railroadiana show.

You may want to contact the Rockville Lions for some advice, they do a nice display show (no sales) the first or second weekend of November each year. I'll be there with the National Capital Trackers. The show is one of their bigger fundraisers although they seem to advertise it less and less each year. Last years attendance was WAY down. Sad...

Matt:

The Gaithersburg Show was a disappointment last year.

Appreciate the heads up on the Lion's show.  I really was looking for a show where people buy/sell - you know, people like you and me, not the folks that make a business of having 10 tables of the same stuff they haul to every Greenberg show.

Thanks.
