Hi Bob Bartizek, Each of those photos is totally enjoyable and interesting. However, I cannot resist giving particular attention to the detail of this rung-ladder , along with its cement pylon base, that you crafted. Amazing and flawless, IMO. The light weathering around the ends of the rungs, on each side, seems exactly right, as is the light weathering to the base itself.ogrsun03 [2)And the scale of your track ballasting seems exactly right, also.

Moonson, Your 100% correct, Bob Bartizek is a great O “3 Rail Scale” modeler, his layout, a wonderland to behold is built for scale operation. I (our local train group) have visited him several times and his layout is built for point to point operation and it’s finely detailed. You should see his layout featured on OGR THE VIDEO. Get your pop corn ready, it’s a wonderful entertaining show. Your gonna love it.

Trumptrain, your pictures are amazing, the people you have working, (In every aspect of your layout) seem to be super busy. A job well done. Wow.

Briansilvermustang, Great Pictures, both Real and model....You have a lot of trains.

Everyone, have a great day.  F83E746A-E7CF-47C3-86CF-B621E6D3AE539B9DB9F5-ED37-400E-8AE4-65D601C7804C034C9719-7CBF-40F1-A7E1-8F61AF5250A69B432EC4-5132-4194-B916-DB0C12B6F1B27A92ACE3-FD1A-4D07-A638-FD1C0B13A049

Thanks to Frank and LeapinLarry for the kind compliments.  Here's another yard shot (even though it's not still Thursday).  These 3 caboose service structures (supply shed, kerosene tank and coal bunker) were scratchbuilt by an HO friend of mine.  He was here for an operating session and had a copy of an old Model Railroader article with scale drawings of these structures which were on the Milwaukee Road.  He said, "I think these will fit right here in your yard.  I'd be happy to build them for you if you want them."  After careful consideration (for about half a second) I told him to go ahead!  I installed them and added a couple of Woodland Scenics figures.

From 1960 through 1967 on a hot Summer evening we would drive to the old P&LE Smithfield St Station and wait for the Capitol. After climbing aboard I would head for High Dome (or it's sister), which is where I would spend the night trip to Chicago. That air conditioned Dome was such a relief after the heat of a Summer night:

Have the MTH "High Dome" as part of my "Columbia" consist se pulled by MTH A-B E6's.  I road up in the dome round trip to/from Chicago at night both ways back in the 50's.
