Thanks, scratch built most everything, except of course the old couple and their chickens.

Kevin, I found that the old real metal screening works best for me and people are throwing it away for the new material which isn't very realistic for fences.

This is what it would look like if going by in a rail car. I forgot how this was done I think someone had the software?

Wow, excellent! How did you do the stone wall? I'm trying to create something like that to cover wires I have run across the surface of the layout. Thanks.

Thanks Kevin

sorry didn't get back to you sooner, that Lida's Grocery was sent to me as plaster castings which I put together and detailed, the stone foundation wall came with it. I'd have to look back to find his name.

It is a nice little structure but needed something so I scratch built the addition on the right.

Looks great! I want to make something out of styrofoam, and I thought a stone retaining wall would look natural and be a good way to hide wires. I may end up using foliage instead. Thanks.

Up close today: " The wrecked hopper car & the car dept. inspectors."  I actually bought this fire damaged Weaver hopper car, as is, off E bay for $5.00  plus $4.00 shipping because I wanted the trucks/couplers.  Once it arrived, I thought why not weather the car and create a scene.   I later photographed the car in different scenerios before removing the trucks.  Here's what I came up with ... including it's delivery by a B&O dockside switch crew.  It all takes place on the Free State Junction Railroad's Mountain Division. IMG_6347IMG_6276IMG_6270IMG_6292IMG_6281IMG_6305IMG_6325IMG_6339IMG_6301IMG_6294
