Heading up to Lawrence Kansas to pick up the team, then off to San Antonio for the Final 4.
Supply train making a second run.
Good luck to all 4 teams.

Had to crawl through the weeds to get this shot before the old TMB station was demolished.

MDMIKEY, your pics are exquisite, very nice layout. Only problem, you used up 3 months of participation in one day!!!

I love your scenes! So few layouts give you the feel of a real place populated by people doing things. All your photos speak of a place where we'd all like to live!
Thanks very much! I'd taken that for another forum where people were asking to see power/phone/telegraph poles on layouts. It also partially shows the 'new and improved' Stoney Creek Road to the right...
FYI, those are HO scale track spikes as lineman steps on the nearest pole. The transformer was scratch built with styrene, as I'd yet to find a good pre-war-era pole transformer kit/casting in O scale.

Great hack shot, Joe!
Oops! I didn't know there was a limit. Thanks for letting me know TedW. Well, that's all the closeups I have of this layout, which was in OGR #220. It has moved on to another home who I hope is getting as much pleasure running it as I did building it. Thanks so much for all the "likes". My current layout is still a work in progress, so it will be at least 3 months (maybe 3 years) until I will have some new photos to post. Trumptrain, the poles look great! Are you planning on adding wires to them? When I painted my poles, I put a subtle dab of black every here and there to represent the creosote still left after the poles have aged. You can see one in my last photo. So many great pictures on here. Good job, everyone!

MdMikey - thanks for the compliment about my poles. Thanks too for the tip about painting a dash of black here and there on the poles.... great idea! Eventually I will attach wire to the poles, however, not any time too soon.
I really enjoy your photos!!

The Lionel version, but here’s the one that’s cool. You posted it many months ago. One of my favorites.
