Bill, Did you just compress the original design pattern measurements in order to make the overall tree narrower and the incline not as steep? Was there a change as a result to the overall track specs and placement? Looks as though the new design would make it easier for getting those sections through doorways...
It was a complete dimensional redesign, no similarities to first tree.
I saw the tree at the NY Toy Fair. Mike Philips says that they plan to bring it to York.
Yes, I believe York is its next stop.
I can tell you, thinking next tree challenge (project) is a smaller home version, possible production kit version.

I think it would be neat to work between 2 trees,,, one up ,,one down, , and you could switch on bottom, floor, and go the other way,,,,,,on the top like you have , switch loop, on both ends too, so you can go around tree then down, and another could stay up top and go between trees,,,,
