I am having an issue with my K-Line Tank Locomotive, K3470-1295CC. It is the NYC 4-6-6 type with TMCC.
When I test the engine in conventional mode, it operates as intended as long as I have the "cruise" switch "on". It responds perfectly with the throttle on the transformer. If I shut the cruise switch "off", the locomotive starts suddenly at high speed when the throttle is opened.
Now, when I engage the TMCC with Lionel TMCC set (Cab-1remote and Command base 6-12969) again all functions work as intended. The problem is the locomotive starts very slowly in either direction and does not pick up speed. It just creeps along no matter how much I turn the throttle knob. The throttle response seems very poor.
I was wondering if there is some sort of reset I can perform or if there are other routes I can take to get this engine running properly in TMCC mode.
Thanks.
Tom
