I was able to run my Lionel scale NW2 this weekend. Man I love this locomotive, runs and sounds amazing!
Ive read about the issues with screws coming out of the trucks. Mine feel a little loose and wobbly when I removed it from the box. On the tracks there is no issue at all, they are just not tight when its picked up. Is this normal for these or is there something that I need to tighten?

They should be tight. Lionel is aware of the problem and has issued a service bulletin on these. Some here have already done this themselves.

I believe there was a thread with photos discussing the repair. I can't seem to find it when I search. Might be worth more searching so long as the moderator didn't delete it for some reason.

The bulletin was sent to service centers. Its just a heads up. No instructions on the procedure to repair it. Its a matter of removing the body and maybe a board or two to get to the screws. If you feel comfortable with taking yours apart then go for it. Otherwise it will be done under warranty by Lionel or one of their dealers.
