Greer Tunnel on what was the Montour railroad (walking South):
This is a bridge-tunnel-bridge situation. At the North end a bridge takes the grade above what is now the Pittsburgh&Central Ohio grade. That line also tunnels through the ridge and then crosses a bridge over Chartiers Creek.

The Montour RR (trail) has several tunnels. One interesting section, is the tunnel, that eventually was so much trouble it was daylighted. Primrose (Tunnel)/Cut. Not far from the McDonald viaduct.
The Montour is a great rail-trail. National Tunnel is fun in the Summer because of the temperature difference.
For a couple years it was our exercise nearly daily. We lived a couple hundred yards from the Mine #4 T stop (Bethel Park) for 14yrs.

Frank, the Big Savage Tunnel on the Great Allegheny Passage rail-trail (Western Maryland) is a lot longer at 3,294ft. It is also lit. That was a several $million project because they had to invent and deploy bullet-proof lights because the locals like to pot-shot stuff.
There are solid doors which are closed all Winter to prevent freeze damage to the lining and surface.
