Big weekend! Two shows to visit!
We'll be running two shows, one at Fall for Fairfax at the Fairfax County Government Center. This is a large fall fair, lots of kids activities and our layout generally takes on a Halloween theme. This is a rather large layout each year that promises to please. See a photo below of our display at the summer Fairfax County Fair, also held at the Government Center.
During the same time, we'll also be at the Brunswick Railroad Days in Brunswick, MD. We'll be in the basement of the Brunswick Heritage Museum. The museum also contains a massive HO railroad depicting the B&O Railroad's Metropolitan Subdivision from Washington DC west. This is a big street fair with lots to do - crafts, games, food, music, model trains and best of all - REAL TRAINS! Brunswick is a major hub on the B&O Railroad (Now CSX). Our layout is just a few blocks from the large freight yard and busy mainline. Even better, train rides on a special MARC excursion train run from Downtown Brunswick out to West Virigia, crossing the bridges and passing through the tunnel at Harpers Ferry.
