undecorated diesels

No, but you can undecorate them with a glass bead blaster.  I've done some boxcars that way, left all the molded detail in place and just whacked the paint.  Then you break out the black paint, for a monotone finish, you can get decent results with rattle cans.

I wish that O scale manufactures would release engines and rolling stock in "un-decorated" as an initial offering.  It would save a potential buyer time and money.  I would think that it would be cheaper for the manufacturer less paint/decals?

Atlas O does. Undecorated engines and rolling stock with every new release. Or, did I misunderstand you?

Yes, Atlas offers them at various times.   F units, geeps, SD40's .... in 3-rail, undecorated, unpowered.

Atlas does offer undecorated models.  This is a GP 7 from several years ago.  Trouble is, each model is run so few times, and the undecorated are added to the run at full price.

Here is a link to the current offering for the SD 40 model.  Undecorated are offered in both high and low nose.

yep, as others have said, but i suspect atlas O is too  pricey for the O.P.

Since the object of the exercise appears to repaint them, the original color seems not to be a significant issue.  Lots of folks repaint stuff.

Last undec locos I saw were Athrean HO scale diesels. 

But as has been stated any diesel can be undec. I don't even strip the O scale models. I just prep them. I soften all paint edges, remove tampo.

Thank you all for the ATLAS information.  I should have been more specific--my fault.  I wish MTH ELECTRIC TRAINS would make their engines available in un-decorated.  We, the Glacier Line Crew, ONLY buy MTH engines---we are strictly DCS.  I was fortunate enough to make that request in person to Mr. Wolf.

Secondly, I will start looking at ATLAS "O" for the un-decorated cars!  Thank you.
