I have a twin motor 2343 (horizontal) F-3 that is not running well. I have throughly checked everything (cleaning the armatures, the brushes and brusher holder tubes, lubing the tail shaft gears (lithium) and the power axel-shaft with the top hole(light oil) opening on the tail-shaft casting, lubed the power trucks (white lithium), & checked trucks for any kind of wheel binding (gauge is correct/ no wobble and in perfect alignment in the truck) etc. and checking all solder joints on the motors and eunit- even the horn relay.
Under load, the chassis runs fast(equal in revs) in reverse both motors in sync. Under load going forward, the rear motor bogs down, the front motor revs up faster out of sync. With the cab off and watching/touching the motors in operation, the rear motor gets hot on the top of the armature housing, the front motor stays cool on the top @ higher revs.
I have swapped completely different rear trucks to verify binding-2X- same results(slower operation and hot top) and slower operation of the rear motor. I have checked all solder joints on the 2 motors( the 3 wire factory flat wire) to the motors and all is soldered correctly...
I am stumped. Any ideas why? Anything I might have missed?
Thanks guys!
