Hello,

I purchased this at a toy train show a month ago. It was nearly destroyed by rust. I am in the process of restoring it.
I think its Marx based on its frame and base but have had no luck finding an image of one. I am now trying to find a better image of the signage area at the top. I have the top portion in Photoshop to recreate and it has been a challenge to say the least.
Any input would be appreciated.

@rudy- Well Rudy, it looks like mine and I found this to be pre-war American Flyer. Note advertising leaflet pictured below. There is your crossing warning in about the middle of the picture.
