Can anyone identify this roadbed? Never seen anything like it before!

Wow - this one seems to have stumped everyone silent!
I've never seen the stuff. Wonder how the track is fixed to it.
I had a bunch of rubber roadbed like that I got in an estate and sold it to a OGR member in Ohio. The pictures posted above look like identical to what I had, but I think my roadbed wasn't hollow underneath. I think it was made by a company called Johnson.
The only rubber roadbed that I know is American Flyer S Gauge.
The construction is a tin like metal. Slots line up with Lionel O gauge tubular ties. The hole seemed also line up with the ties. Saw it at a flea market but it was too expensive to purchase.
Looks like this roadbed was discussed last year by @Captaincog in this thread and was still unidentified at that time: https://ogrforum.com/...bular-track-road-bed
Look on *bay under johnson roadbed -flyer. The stuff is fairly heavy. Not very common to find it.

I think this is the guy who made it from 1986 - 2010. Looks like this was a side business to being a automotive/design engineer.
So your roadbed is metal ? The roadbed I had looked like yours but was a rubbery material.
Just to follow up - I was at the same flea market this year and the same vendor had the same roadbed for sale. I made a small offer and he took it without hesitation. Still don't have any idea as to manufacturer or anything.
And yes, it is sheet metal, not rubber or plastic.
