Not a criticism of you, Captain, but the titles of some of these YouTube videos are a joke.

That is a line of stored locomotives, not a "graveyard". 

The reason they are in the desert is that the dry climate helps to minimize deterioration.

Same reason they park stored airplanes near Mojave, CA.

I recently saw a video where a guy had trespassed on a trio of UP units that were parked and idling.

He was calling them "abandoned" locomotives,

I've also seen dozens of videos of "RARE" G.E. turbocharger fires. (Therefore, not so rare.)

I was just amazed at the amount of engines being stored there. Have never seen anything like that before.

But getting those engines out of Dodge is a good idea.

Houston is damp, hot and has pollution in the air.

I thought they were moving at first. Cool video.

i have seen the planes at Kingman. Nothing rusts here in the desert.
