Not a criticism of you, Captain, but the titles of some of these YouTube videos are a joke.
That is a line of stored locomotives, not a "graveyard".
The reason they are in the desert is that the dry climate helps to minimize deterioration.
Same reason they park stored airplanes near Mojave, CA.
I recently saw a video where a guy had trespassed on a trio of UP units that were parked and idling.
He was calling them "abandoned" locomotives,
I've also seen dozens of videos of "RARE" G.E. turbocharger fires. (Therefore, not so rare.)
